The rear plate reads ROMA A7 1948 over two lines, confirmed by the front plate in a second photograph.

That registration appears in the German census that underlies much of this registry, on a line that carries no chassis number: a black car with a black interior, 1964, owned by Sig. Cacciotti in Italy, noted as a restoration and mentioned in the magazine Automobilismo. The car therefore has an owner and a date — but still no chassis number.
